A beautiful inclusive dance performance uses GéNIA's music

I am delighted to share with you that my music has been featured in a new production by Vero Cendoya, an inclusive dance company based in Barcelona.

For 15 years, the company has been committed to the full inclusion of people with disabilities on the professional stage, working to change perceptions and create greater visibility for disabled artists in the professional artistic world. This makes it particularly meaningful for me to see my music become part of their work.

There is something very special for a composer in seeing how music comes alive through movement, theatre and visual expression — taking on a new dimension and becoming part of another artistic world.

It is alwasy fascinating to see how other artists repond to music and interpret it through their own creative lense. Movement can reveal different emotions, textures and details within a piece, sometimes bringing out elements that even the composer may experience in a completely new way. It is this exchange between different art forms that makes collaboration so exciting and reminds us how music can continue to evolve beyond the moment it is written.
