My classical piano music for relaxation, composition ‘Valse à la française’ was inspired by my summer travels in the south of France and is one of the tracks of her forthcoming album ‘Voyages français’. Surrounded by a breath-taking beauty of French nature and a rich French cultural heritage, this composition represents my musical take on a French summer lifestyle, where I used to spend every summer for many years. Additionally, included in the EP ‘Valse à la française' the compositions which have been previously released in 2021: ‘Whisper’ and ‘Lever de Soleil’ (dedicated to the beauty of French nature), ‘St Paul’ (dedicated to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a beautiful village in the south of France which overlooks the sea and is known of a large number of artists’ galleries and studios) and ‘Jean’ (dedicated to a young intelligent French 9 year boy with a big sad eyes). All these compositions will appear in 2022 in my album ' ‘Voyages français’’ which was inspired by my frequent journeys to her beloved France. France was the country where I first started to compose, influenced by the nature, art, local food and, of course, wonderful people whom I met on my journeys. ‘Voyages français’ is dedicated to 10 different experiences, memories of which remained with me throughout my life. ‘St Paul’ is dedicated to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a beautiful village in the south of France which GéNIA visited in the past. One of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art galleries and museums, as well as the famous Saint-Paul de Vence's cemetery, which includes the grave of Marc Chagall, who lived in the village for many years. The place was also popular with remarkable artists including Jean-Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso. During the 1960s, the village was frequented by French actors Yves Montand, Simone Signoret and, Lino Ventura, and poet Jacques Prévert. The scenery and the energy of the place, with its creativity and beauty made a strong impression on GéNIA and therefore she dedicated ‘St Paul’ to this artistic village. This is the third piece in her EP ‘Voyages Français’. The EP ‘Voyages Français’ of peaceful piano music was inspired by GéNIA‘s frequent journeys to her beloved France. ‘Lever de Soleil’, peaceful piano music was inspired by GéNIA’s summer experience when she stayed in Nice, by the sea. Every morning, she would get up and go to meet the sunrise. She was basking in a summer light and that sensation continued to stay with her for the rest of the day, stimulating her to write beautiful music. In this composition she has tried to convey the feeling of warmth and lightness of the sunrise, which is especially particular of the French sun. This is a finial composition from the EP ‘Voyages Français’. The EP ‘Voyages Français’ was inspired by GéNIA‘s frequent journeys to her beloved France. The slightly murky feeling of ‘Jean’, a peaceful piano composition, is a fond memory of the French child, the son of GéNIA’s friends, who had a very playful, slightly delicate and creative nature; he played the piano, built sand-castles, read books and even cooked, but his big sad eyes always had that intense and inquisitive look. This composition is the second piece in the series ‘Voyages Français’, and is dedicated to that special friendship. This composition is very dear to my heart. I re-composed, recorded, and produced it while in lockdown. I think in this difficult time, it is love which carries us through and helps us to prevail over the hardships of life. Created with the help of MHG Music Videos, I wanted to bring this video to you especially on Valentine's Day. Originally ‘Mon Amour’ was released in 2014 on my EP ‘Dreams of Today, Thoughts of Tomorrow’ Volume 2. Since then, this composition has attracted a lot of attention, from a very emotional response from my live audience (especially when performing it in France), to numerous online comments and requests for the sheet music of this composition. Spending my time in lockdown, I decided to re-create this piece, as well as record it at home on my Steinway Grand Piano, which was built in 1932. This track is also my debut as a producer, as I recorded and mixed it myself. Since having been captured in the lockdown, I have started recording and producing my own music, establishing a recording studio at home, learning recording and production skills, based on my personal experience as a recording artist. Mastering has been done by the award-nominated engineer Cicely Balston at Alchemy Mastering at AIR Studios. ‘Vicious Circle’ was composed by the Russian-born classical composer & pianist GéNIA, whilst spending her time in lockdown. In this composition, GéNIA has tried to re-create the sense of ‘search’ and ‘almost no way out’ feeling of the current situation, which penetrated our society then. Having been captured in the lockdown, GéNIA started recording and producing her music by establishing a recording studio in her home, and learning recording and production skills, based on her personal experience as a recording artist. (In the past GéNIA has recorded albums for Universal Production Music released on Chappel Label, Nonclassical Label, run by Gabriel Prokofiev, Black Box Label with the multi-Grammy nominated record producer Chris Craker, and her own label GéNIA MUSIC, working with the triple-BAFTA award winner and six-time Emmy nominee, sound engineer Nigel Heath). The solo piano composition was recorded on GéNIA’s Steinway grand piano which was built in 1932. Mastering has been done by the award-nominated engineer Cicely Balston at AIR Studios. This composition is very dear to my heart. I re-composed, recorded, and produced it while in lockdown. I think in this difficult time, it is love which carries us through and helps us to prevail over the hardships of life. Created with the help of MHG Music Videos, I wanted to bring this video to you especially on Valentine's Day. Originally ‘Mon Amour’ was released in 2014 on my EP ‘Dreams of Today, Thoughts of Tomorrow’ Volume 2. Since then, this composition has attracted a lot of attention, from a very emotional response from my live audience (especially when performing it in France), to numerous online comments and requests for the sheet music of this composition. Spending my time in lockdown, I decided to re-create this piece, as well as record it at home on my Steinway Grand Piano, which was built in 1932. This track is also my debut as a producer, as I recorded and mixed it myself. Since having been captured in the lockdown, I have started recording and producing my own music, establishing a recording studio at home, learning recording and production skills, based on my personal experience as a recording artist. Mastering has been done by the award-nominated engineer Cicely Balston at Alchemy Mastering at AIR Studios. Struck by the tenderness, sensitivity and fragility of what they had heard, the band sought to remix the track, instilling it with their unique and highly atmospheric presence. VOID are an anonymous ‘faceless’ band with a focus on promoting mental health awareness online, both band members having already faced their own personal struggles at a young age. GéNIA was born in the Ukraine and was trained as a concert pianist from the age of 4.
