‘St Paul’ is dedicated to Saint-Paul-de-Vence, a beautiful village in the south of France which I visited in the past. One of the oldest medieval towns on the French Riviera, it is well known for its modern and contemporary art galleries and museums, as well as the famous Saint-Paul de Vence's cemetery, which includes the grave of Marc Chagall, who lived in the village for many years. This place was also popular with remarkable artists including Jean-Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso. During the 1960s, the village was frequented by French actors Yves Montand, Simone Signoret and Lino Ventura, and poet Jacques Prévert. The scenery and the energy of the place, with its creativity and beauty made a strong impression on me, and therefore I dedicated ‘St Paul’ to this artistic village. This is the third piece in my EP ‘‘Voyages Français’. The EP ‘‘Voyages Français’ was inspired by my frequent journeys to beloved France. France was the country where I first started to compose, influenced by the nature, art, local food and, of course, wonderful people who I met on my journeys. ‘‘Voyages Français’ EP is dedicated to 5 different experiences, memories of which remained with me for the rest of my life.
I also want to thank all of you who have a deep interest in my music and supported me over this difficult time.
I hope that this piece will bring a sense of beauty and harmony in your daily lives.
